These terms set out the basis on which you may use the Highfield Care website. By using this website, you agree to them. They are written in plain English.
About these terms
This website is operated by Highfield Care (“we”, “us”, “our”), which provides in-home aged care and support across Noosa and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. These terms apply to your use of this website only. The care services we arrange are governed by a separate service agreement.
Using our website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that could harm us or anyone else. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time.
Information on this website is general only
The information on this website is general in nature. It is not medical, nursing, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
This website is not for emergencies. If you or someone else needs urgent medical help, call 000 immediately.
Our services
We help you arrange in-home care and support. Care is delivered in your home by our registered care provider partners under a service agreement, following an assessment of your needs. Nothing on this website is an offer to provide a particular service, and we may decline or discontinue a service where it is not safe or appropriate to provide it.
Government funding programs
We can help you understand and navigate government-funded aged care programs, including Support at Home and Home Care Packages. Eligibility for these programs, and the level of funding you receive, is determined by the Australian Government and its assessment processes — not by us. We cannot guarantee that you will be approved for any program or funding.
Fees and service agreements
We do not publish prices on this website, because the cost of care depends on your assessed needs and funding. Any fees that apply to you will be set out in writing in your service agreement before services begin.
Third-party links
This website may link to websites operated by others, such as government agencies. We provide those links for convenience only and do not control, endorse or take responsibility for the content of third-party websites.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content, branding and design of this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, reproduce or republish our content without our written permission.
Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and we may update it at any time. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free of interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute relating to this website is subject to the courts of Queensland.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the website means you accept the updated terms.
